Beaufort welcomes our first Erasmus+ recruit

We’re very pleased to welcome Lucija Bosnjak from Croatia to Beaufort and to Wales. Lucija has joined us on a five month internship through the Erasmus+ programme.

The Erasmus Programme is a European Union student exchange programme established in 1987, which supports traineeships abroad (work placements, internships and so on) for students enrolled in higher education institutions in EU member countries.

imageLucija is currently in the last year of a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Pedagogy at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Since the beginning of her studies, she has been interested in research methodology and statistics. Having been asked by several non-governmental organisations in Croatia to take part in a major research project about intercultural community centres, she realised she wanted to pursue a career in research.

During her time at university, Lucija went on a student exchange through the Erasmus+ programme at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland for one semester, so in the last year of her studies decided to seek the opportunity of an internship abroad at a market research company. She applied to Beaufort because she was keen to work on a broad range of different projects for a variety of clients and felt that Cardiff would be a good place to live for a few months.

Lucija is looking forward to learning as much as possible about the research industry during her time at Beaufort and gaining valuable professional and personal skills and we’re looking forward to helping her develop her research skills and experience in a busy agency environment.

In her spare time back in Croatia, Lucija volunteered at two different educational organisations.  She enjoys travelling, discovering new places and experiencing new cultures and no doubt will be learning some Welsh while at Beaufort!
