Beaufort wins 2016 Wales Visitor Survey contract

Beaufort is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the 2016 Wales Visitor Survey contract by Visit Wales, the Tourism arm of the Welsh Government.

Visit Wales is one of the co-sponsors of a number of Britain-wide studies designed to determine the volume and value of tourism (such as the Great Britain Tourism Survey, the Great Britain Day Visits Survey and International Passenger Surveys) but these studies do not measure visitor satisfaction, which is a key element in encouraging repeat visits.  Visit Wales therefore regularly commissions a large scale visitor survey among visitors to Wales, to fill this gap.

The Wales Visitor Survey will update findings from 2013 and track any changes in the profile, attitudes and satisfaction of visitors, as well as exploring how visitors gather information before and during their visits. Three categories of visitors will be covered: UK Staying Visitors, Overseas Visitors and Day Visitors, with the first stage of interviews carried out face-to-face at key tourist destinations across Wales. After their holiday ends, a sample of visitors will take part in follow-up telephone interviews which will explore their experience of Wales in more depth.  Around six thousand visitors will be interviewed over the period June to September 2016.
