Major woodlands contract win for Beaufort Research

Beaufort is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Quality of the Visitor Experience Survey 2013 – 2015 at sites managed by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and Forestry Commission England (FCE).

The two organisations have commissioned the survey to measure visitor perceptions of the quality of their woodland sites. It will take place at 42 woodland and forest sites across England and Wales, with a total of 9,000 interviews conducted across the three year contract period.

The survey data will not only provide information on the overall visitor experience at woodland sites, but the analysis will also enable each individual site to be scored, benchmarked and tracked over time.  By assessing visitor profiles, attitudes and satisfaction, the Quality of Visitor Experience survey plays an important role in helping both Natural Resources Wales and Forestry Commission England to continue to develop programmes to encourage and promote access to woodlands.

Natural Resources Wales brings together the work of the Environment Agency Wales, Countryside Council for Wales and Forestry Commission Wales to ensure these resources are managed sustainably for enjoyment both now and in the future.  Similarly, Forestry Commission England ensures the woodlands are managed in order to increase their value to society.
